Have to admit to getting a bit of a shock when I opened the paper today to see this rather large photo (oh and hi there @kerrie_mccallum). So seems as good a time as any to confirm my role at work is expanding and I am now editor-in-chief of not just Stellar, but also Body+Soul and bodyandsoul.com.au. It’s been a difficult time for the industry these past few months and I am very sad to see so many talented people in the media lose their jobs. But I am so proud of my amazing team at @stellarmag for continuing to produce a well, stellar, product every week during lockdown – and beyond – without missing a beat. I can’t wait to keep working you, and the fabulous incoming team from @bodyandsoul_au, as we create a new flipbook magazine featuring both titles which will launch on Sunday July 5 and will be published in four states.

Another major restructure saw News Digital Networks Australia (News DNA) boss Julian Delany promoted to chief technology officer of data and digital, national sales managing director Lou Barrett become leader of all sales divisions, and managing director of mergers, acquisitions and strategy, Richard Skimin, appointed managing director of news.com.au, Kidspot and Whimn.

There have been more closures across the network too. A change of its editorial operations across metro titles saw a number of roles cut, while 100 print titles have disappeared from the business, resulting in hundreds of job cuts.
