Seven dominates Thursday night TV
The Chase Australia has topped Thursday entertainment programming as Seven won the night in overall share.
Seven secured a 33.0% overall share, followed by Nine at 25.9%, Ten at 17.8%, ABC at 14.8% and SBS at 8.4%.
Overall, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday night, with 867,000 metro viewers. Seven News at 6:30 followed closely with 846,000, then Nine News with 774,000.
Nine News 6:30 aired to 766,000 and topped all three key advertising demos, while A Current Affair had 601,000 metro viewers tune in. ABC News had 512,000.
Back to entertainment, and The Chase had 536,000 metro viewers. Seven’s AFL coverage on Thursday had 424,000 metro viewers tune in, while Nine’s Hot Seat had 406,000.
Ten’s MasterChef Australia saw 384,000 metro viewers.
Seven was the top-rated primary channel on Thursday, with 23.6% share, followed by Nine with 18.4%. 7Two was the top-rated multichannel with 4.1% share, followed by 7Mate with 3.5%.
In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 8 June, Seven News was the #1 program with a Total TV audience of 1.446 million, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 1.309 million. Seven News had an uplift of 3% and BVOD audience of 43,000.
The program with the biggest uplift was Seven’s Home and Away, with 35%. It had a Total TV audience of 844,000 and a further 162,000 on BVOD.
