Seven wins Monday entertainment, 9Gem celebrates large multichannel share

The Ashes series continued to bring in strong network share results for Nine. However, Seven’s The Chase Australia came out as the winner in Monday entertainment.

Nine secured a 37.8% overall network share overnight, followed by Seven with 22%, Ten with 17.2%, ABC with 16.7% and SBS with 6.3%.

The Ashes have brought in strong shares for Nine Network

Thanks to the Ashes series, 9Gem has scored a 17.1% share on Monday night, the largest of the night across both primary and multichannels.

Overall, Seven News was the #1 program on Monday night, with 1.036 million metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 955,000, Nine News with 860,000 and Nine News 6:30 with 835,000. A Current Affair had 660,000 metro viewers, while ABC News had 606,000.

Back to entertainment, and The Chase Australia on Seven aired to 647,000 metro viewers, followed by the Ashes on Nine with 618,000. Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? had 515,000 metro viewers tune in, and MasterChef Australia had 493,000. The ABC’s Australian Story episode featuring Hugh van Cuylenburg aired to 448,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, 9Gem was the top-rated multichannel, and Nine was the top rated primary channel at 16.3%.

Seven News was the #1 program in the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 12 June, with a Total TV audience of 1.913 million, 3% uplift and BVOD audience of 50,000.

Seven’s 9-1-1 had the biggest uplift of 40%, with a Total TV audience of 519,000 and 52,000 on BVOD.
