The Chase Australia tops entertainment, handing Seven an overall win on Thursday

Seven’s The Chase Australia topped entertainment programming on Thursday night, helping the network top overall share for the evening.

The episode brought in 538,000 metro viewers, followed by Home and Away, also on Seven, which had 392,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News was again the #1 rated program, with 945,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 867,000 metro viewers. Nine News brought in 737,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 had 720,000 and A Current Affair on Nine had 576,000.

Next in entertainment was Ten’s Masterchef Australia which brought in 421,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Thursday Night NRL with 382,000.

Nine’s Hot Seat saw 366,00 metro viewers tune in and Seven’s The Front Bar had 339,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Seven Network won overall share for the evening with 30.1%, followed by Nine with 29.4%, Ten with 16.3%, and ABC on 15.0%.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with 21.9%, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.6%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV report for 11 May, Seven News was the #1 program with 1.427 million metro viewers with a 3% uplift, and 42,000 on national BVOD.

The program with the highest uplift of 30% was the late airing of Seven’s Home and Away, with 800,000 Total TV viewers, including 122,000 BVOD viewers.
