Who’s next to pull the plug with print ads after the Victoria Government’s ban?

In this Mumbrellacast, the team unpacks the implication behind the Victorian Government's decision to stop advertising in print, before discussing the launch of ex-CHEP CEO Justin Hind's new agency, Reunion. Then, a chat with ARN Media's chief executive Ciaran Davis and GfK's Deb Hishon on the revamped measurement system, Radio 360, and a sit-down with music festival promoter Casey Katz.

Earlier this week, the Victorian Govenrment made the decision to stop virtually all government advertising with metro print newspapers, which blindsided Nine Publishing and News Corp Australia. In the fallout of the announcement, the team discusses the message behind this move, and whether other state governments are likely to follow suit.

This is before a discussion about ex-CHEP CEO Justin Hind’s new agency, Reunion, which he established with his wife and WiTH co-founder Dominique Hind, and old boss Stephen Knowles. While Reunion is the new indie kid on the agency block, this management trio is not. The team discusses the agency’s possible next move and its potential.

Mumbrella’s editor Shannon Molloy then checks in with GfK’s measurement director Deb Hishon and its chair Ciaran Davis –  who is also ARN Media’s chief executive – on the revamped total radio measurement system, Radio 360.

All this before a sit-down with Casey Katz, director of marketing & customer journey at ntitled Group, about the business of marketing indie music festivals and the sector’s post-Covid recovery.
