Dr Mumbo

Sky News Australia is very upset about Barbie

Self-appointed defender of free speech and frequent rager against cancel culture and perennially offended woke lefties, Sky News Australia, has launched an attack on the definitely-not-real Barbie.

Wait, that can’t be right.

No. No, it is. Sky News is very upset about Barbie.

For the love of God.

The Foxtel channel took to its Twitter yesterday in the midst of a relatively busy news day to decry the upcoming Hollywood film starring Australian actor Margot Robbie as the beloved children’s toy.

Its post linked to a 10-minute segment from British commentator and Megan Markle-hater Piers Morgan’s Tuesday show, which is syndicated locally on Sky News.

Morgan’s savaging of the film including a declaration that it amounts to “an assault on… all men”.

Big call, especially given he hasn’t seen it. Barbie isn’t released until 21 July.

Dr Mumbo watched the whole clip so you don’t have to and is now at least 16% dumber for having done so.

But the gist of Morgan’s complaint is that the movie is clearly anti-men because its poster reads: “She’s everything. He’s just Ken.”

What a man-hating monster.

He continued: “There are a number of Barbie characters in the movie, one plays President Barbie, one plays Doctor Barbie, however all the male characters in Barbie world are simply called Ken.

“So, it’s pretty clear where this movie is going, this is an assault on not just Ken but all men.”

The lack of male characters also upset Morgan. For the record, the film – directed by Greta Gerwig – features no-name amateur actors Ryan Gosling, Michael Cera and Simu Liu. Some guy called Will Ferrell is also in it.

Can someone remind Dr Mumbo who the snowflakes are?
