As the travel industry continues to recover from the impact of the pandemic, it’s more important than ever for marketers and businesses to stay on top of the latest travel trends and insights.

Mathews will explore global travel trends from Tripadvisor and discuss how travel behaviours are evolving in a post-pandemic world.

The session will use case studies to provide insights on trends and behaviours, identify business opportunities by marrying trends and analytics, and analyse the use of digital platforms and big data for targeting. Delegates will walk away with strategies on adapting their marketing objectives to meet the changing needs of travellers in a post-pandemic world.

In a session titled ‘How Resilience and Honesty Rebuilt a Business in a Time of Crisis’, Carnival Cruise Lines vice president, Kara Glamore will discuss post-Covid cruising.

The global cruise industry is experiencing some of the fastest growth of any industry around the world, despite coming to a complete halt three years ago due to Covid-19.

With operations paused, cruising experienced some of the most severe brand reputation damage as ships were being blamed for Covid super spreader breakouts. This disruption was experienced by their entire supply chain, impacting thousands of small businesses and millions of jobs.

Glamore will share the lessons she learnt from extreme adversity, and how this experience helped build invaluable resilience – now a hallmark of the Carnival brand.

Finally, Michael Lamprell, CEO at Cabn, will join the Luxury Travel panel, moderated by TBWA\Sydney’s Anna Thairs.

Cabn was established to provide people with a means of disconnecting. The cabins are completely off grid, sustainable and eco friendly, and are transforming some of Australia’s most stunning and stimulating landscapes into ideal nature escapes.

The panel will build on Luxury Gold’s recent white paper, detailing the up-and-coming consumer trends that sit at the crossover of luxury and travel. It will reflect on recent reporting of Australian luxury consumers, why sustainability is no longer enough, the rise of the physical in a digital world, and how the new roaring twenties is impacting travel at home and abroad.

Tickets are available to the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit, and entries to the Travel Awards are due this Friday.
